She wanted her lost 4-D tickets back so badly that she has gone to the police station three times to claim them.

Madam Julia Tong, 50, a cleaner, has been disappointed each time.

But she is not giving up. After all, at stake is $5,445, the amount she would have won from three winning numbers if she had not lost the five tickets last Saturday.

On Tuesday evening, she lodged a police report about the tickets which were found by a hotel housekeeper.

“I am not being greedy, but what is mine is mine,” Madam Tong said.

Long time back,I ever read in the paper, someone present the winning ticket to claim prize but was denied and arrested because ticket had be report lost (stolen?). This I dont quite sure. So Singapore Pool said prize will be paid to ticket holder is not quite correct.
Truth in Madam Tong statement can easily be verifed. Video from betting outlet can be viewed and time of purchase and by whom can be viewed unless it is deemed troublesome.
