DPMM keen to take on Warriors

May 22, 2014 - 12:55am

After Brunei DPMM head coach Steve Kean read about what his Warriors counterpart Alex Weaver said about the top-of-the-table clash in yesterday’s The New Paper, he thought back to how he had to deal with the same situations back in England.

He said: “This kind of talk happened every week when I was back in England and it really looks like you just can’t run from it - it’s part of the game.”

He insists he does not want to get into a war of words with any of his counterparts in the Great-Eastern Yeo’s S.League, and said he preferred to let his talking be done on the pitch.

Warriors, seven points adrift, will have the home advantage but DPMM midfielder Azwan Ali has plans to silence the crowd by adding to his tally of four league goals.

Irish hitman Roy O’Donovan is also gearing up for a good fight, saying: “We’re in no way afraid of them, in fact, I’m more excited about the match."
