Two charged with disturbing public peace

Two men were charged in court on Wednesday (May 21) with disturbing public peace outside the State Courts building at Havelock Square.

Vasily Chuply (above, right), 24 and Alexander Kalinin (above), 37, both Singaporeans, are accused of punching each other there at around 3.15pm on Feb 13.

The two men will be back in court on June 5. If convicted of disturbing public peace, they can each be jailed for up to a year and fined a maximum of $5,000.
