CONTEST: You'd be silly not to tap this

May 20, 2014 - 8:41pm

Their hot bodies and fancy footwork are sure to get you tapping away in your seat.

From May 27 to June 1, the hot men of hot dance show Tap Dogs will be sweating out their stuff on a "construction site" on the MasterCard® Theatres stage, dancing through scaffolding, in water, on metal, amidst blow-torch sparks and on metal.

These men have not only won multiple awards and received rave reviews but also featured in the opening ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

The Tap Dogs are headed to Singapore, and you could win 10 pairs of tickets to watch them live!

To win, all you have to do is answer a simple question. Contest runs from May 21 to May 23, and winners will be announced on May 24. The tickets will be for the show on June 1 at 5pm.

People first started tapping with their bare feet?

They later started using wooden clogs, but it was only in 1915 that someone first put a metal plate at the bottom of his shoes, the way tap dancers still do today.

The earliest Hollywood superstars were great tap dancers

Tap dance legend Bill "Bojangles" Robinson tap-danced in movies with child star Shirley Temple, and Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers danced their way into audience's hearts.

Tap dance has its own special day!

In the US, National Tap Dance Day is celebrated on May 25th - just a few days away!
